Northern New Jersey Youth Wrestling League (NNJYWL)

• K - 8 Varsity League

• Standard Wrestling Scoring

• All JV/Varsity Wrestlers are eligible

• Place on roster determined by wrestle offs

  • Loser of wrestle off should attend match in the event of:

    • Absence of wrestle off winner

    • Ability to arrange exhibition match(s) (not guaranteed)

• 20 Predetermined weight Classes

• Wrestlers’ weight must be certified by an opposing team

• Wrestlers cannot move down weight classes once certified

• Wrestlers can move up no more than 2 weight classes during the season, cannot move back down

• Pre-match weigh ins are mandatory

• Season culminates in an end of year tournament early February

  • Must have wrestled in 6 League matches

• Home teams can/will charge an entrance fee to all events

  • Shall not exceed $3.00 per adult and $1.00 per child (12 and under)
